All Spiceburst

A few of our existing farmer's market customers requested that we create a
high-quality allspice seasoning. The best allspice comes from Jamaica, but
its difficult to find in the stores. We added a little spicy paprika to our recipe
to give the flavor a little boost.

How We Make It

  1. All Spiceburst begins with the purchase of Jamaican allspice from our
    local supplier.
  2. Once we have all the ingredients, we blend them all together and bottle it.
  3. The final step is to seal each bottle, add the decorative rafia, and the
    product label. We write and design all of our own labels and product
    literature and have it printed at a small local printer. When possible, we
    use recycled paper.

Ingredients

All Spiceburst is a combination of coarse ground Malabar pepper, Portuguese
sea salt, Jamaican allspice, and Hungarian paprika.

Recommended Uses

Allspice gives food a nice undertone of cloves and cinnamon without being
too obvious. When used on chicken and pork, the result is very unique.
Marinate a chicken breast in orange juice for an hour, then rub half a
teaspoon of All Spiceburst on it and when your grill gets up to about
400 degrees, put the chicken on and let it blacken. Yum! We use this spice
on foods with a hint of sweetness, like sweet potatoes, baked beans, and lamb.
