Shrimp with Cucumber and Chile Lime Saltburst
Cucumbers, chiles and lime make shrimp taste so
fresh and lively. Try this recipe from the Spiceburst kitchen...
4 lbs boiled shrimp
6 green onions, sliced
olive oil
pinch of sugar
3-6 pinches of Chile Lime Saltburst (adjust according to your taste)
1 cucumber, peeled and diced
juice of one lime
- Clean and devein the shrimp.
- Heat the olive oil (on low) in a skillet.
- Raise the heat to medium and add the shrimp. The objective is to cook them quickly at a
high temperature. Overcooking them will make them tough.
- Saute until the shrimp are cooked or they barely turn white.
- With the heat still on medium, add the cucumber, Chile Lime Saltburst, and sugar.
- Stir constantly until the cucumbers are translucent. The shrimp should now be completely
white on the inside, but a golden brown on the outside.
- Add more Chile Lime Saltburst if needed.
Serves 4.
