Baked Salmon with Cowboy Saltburst
We perfected this baked salmon technique while doing
food demonstrations at Central Market. It is a tried and true super-simple way to make
fish and its very healthy too! You can use the same recipe for mahi-mahi or halibut.
1 filet of salmon
1/8 tsp Cowboy Saltburst
- Heat oven to 400 degrees.
- Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
- Put a sheet of parchment paper on top of the foil to keep the fish from sticking. If you
don't have any parchment paper, lightly oil the foil.
- Lay the salmon on the baking sheet with the skin down.
- Use your fingers to sprinkle the Cowboy Saltburst all over the fish. Rub it in well so that
it will absorb into the fish.
- Bake for 12 minutes and no more. When you remove it from the oven, the fish should be soft when you
press on it with a fork. It can be slightly underdone because it will finish cooking through by the
time you serve it.
- Cut the filet in half and plate it for two people.
Serves 2.
