Baked Salmon with Cowboy Saltburst

We perfected this baked salmon technique while doing food demonstrations at Central Market. It is a tried and true super-simple way to make fish and its very healthy too! You can use the same recipe for mahi-mahi or halibut.

1 filet of salmon
1/8 tsp Cowboy Saltburst

  1. Heat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
  3. Put a sheet of parchment paper on top of the foil to keep the fish from sticking. If you don't have any parchment paper, lightly oil the foil.
  4. Lay the salmon on the baking sheet with the skin down.
  5. Use your fingers to sprinkle the Cowboy Saltburst all over the fish. Rub it in well so that it will absorb into the fish.
  6. Bake for 12 minutes and no more. When you remove it from the oven, the fish should be soft when you press on it with a fork. It can be slightly underdone because it will finish cooking through by the time you serve it.
  7. Cut the filet in half and plate it for two people.
