Chile Lime Michelada
I just love zesty drinks like the Bloody Mary, but tomato
juice (unless its fresh-squeezed) is LOADED with sodium. I know this might seem odd coming from someone
who makes infused sea salt, but I really believe in the whole 'everything in moderation' philosophy...
Our Michelada recipe is half tomato juice, half lime juice and there's enough here for a small party.
32 oz tomato juice
32 oz fresh lime juice
1 liter vodka
5 tbsp Chile Lime Saltburst
Fresh limes
Six-pack of Mexican beer (preferably Dos Equis)
- Put Chile Lime Saltburst on a saucer.
- Slice the fresh limes and rub one slice along the rim
of your favorite glass to help the salt stick to it.
- Dip the glass upside down into the salt to line
the rim.
- Fill 1/3 of the glass with tomato juice,
1/3 with vodka, and 1/3 with beer.
- Stir well.
- Drink and be merry.
